Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of any person who, while acting at the direction or under the control of a foreign government, participates in malicious cyber activities against U.S. critical infrastructure in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).<\/p>\n\n
Hossein Harooni is wanted by U.S. authorities for his alleged involvement in a coordinated, multi-year campaign that conducted cyber intrusions into more than 12 U.S. companies, as well as the U.S. Departments of State and the Treasury.<\/p>\n\n
From at least about May 2018 through June 2021, Hossein Harooni, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was associated with multiple Iranian companies with connections to Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity.<\/p>\n\n
In or around the time of his alleged activity, Hossein Harooni was associated with Dadeh Afzar Arman and Data Processing of East (DPE) \u2013 both of which were located inside Iran.<\/p>\n\n
