Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on the 2003 kidnapping and murder of U.S. citizens in Colombia. On February 13, 2003, a U. S. government plane on a counter-drug mission crash landed in Caqueta, Colombia. Members of the left-wing rebel group in Colombia known as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) killed U.S. citizen Thomas Janis and Colombian Sergeant Luis Alcides Cruz. The rebels also took hostage three other U.S. citizens who had been aboard the plane: Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes, and Keith Stansell.
