Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on the kidnapping and murder of William Buckley. Buckley was the CIA station chief in Lebanon, a role for which he volunteered after the 1983 U.S. Embassy Beirut bombing that killed 63 people, including 17 Americans. On March 16, 1984, Buckley was kidnapped in Beirut on his way to work. He was interrogated and tortured before he died in captivity on June 3, 1985. Buckley was among the 100 victims, mostly Westerners, whom Hizballah and Hizballah-linked terrorists kidnapped and held hostage during the decade-long Lebanon hostage crisis.
