Al-Qosi \u00e9 um l\u00edder s\u00eanior da Al-Qaeda da Pen\u00ednsula Ar\u00e1bica (AQPA), uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o classificada pelos EUA como Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Terrorista Estrangeira.<\/p>\n\n
Al-Qosi ingressou na AQPA em 2014, mas h\u00e1 muito tempo atua na Al-Qaeda (AQ) e trabalhou diretamente por muitos anos para o l\u00edder, Osama bin Laden (j\u00e1 falecido). Al-Qosi foi capturado no Paquist\u00e3o em dezembro de 2001 antes de ser transferido para a Ba\u00eda de Guant\u00e1namo. Ele se declarou culpado em 2010 perante uma junta militar por conspirar com a AQ e fornecer apoio material ao terrorismo. Os Estados Unidos libertaram al-Qosi e o devolveram ao Sud\u00e3o em 2012, de acordo com um acordo pr\u00e9-julgamento.<\/p>\n\n
Desde 2015, al-Qosi tem aparecido em materiais de recrutamento da AQPA e encorajou ataques de lobos solit\u00e1rios contra os Estados Unidos em propaganda on-line.
