Em 25 de junho de 1996, membros do Hezbollah Saudita detonaram um caminh\u00e3o-tanque contendo explosivos pl\u00e1sticos no estacionamento das torres Khobar, um complexo residencial usado para abrigar militares estadunidenses. A explos\u00e3o quase destruiu o pr\u00e9dio adjacente, matou 19 militares estadunidenses e um cidad\u00e3o saudita e feriu centenas de indiv\u00edduos de v\u00e1rias na\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Em 21 de junho de 2001, um grande j\u00fari federal dos EUA indiciou 14 indiv\u00edduos ligados ao ataque. Entre os indiciados estavam Ahmad Ibrahim al-Mughassil, Abdelkarim Hussein Mohamed al-Nasser, Ibrahim Salim Mohammed al-Yacoub e Ali Saed bin Ali el-Hoorie.
