Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on Abdullahi Osman Mohamed.
Mohamed, also known as Engineer Ismail, is the senior explosives expert for the terrorist group al-Shabaab. He is responsible for the overall management of al-Shabaab’s explosives operations and manufacturing. Mohamed is also a special adviser to the so-called “emir” of al-Shabaab and is the leader of al-Shabaab’s media wing, al-Kataib.
On November 17, 2020, the U.S. Department of State designated Mohamed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) under section 1(a)(ii)(B) of Executive Order (E.O.) 13224.
