R\u00e9compenses pour la Justice offre une r\u00e9compense de jusqu’\u00e0 5 millions de dollars pour toute information sur Mohamed Makawi Ibrahim Mohamed. Il \u00e9tait le chef de l’attaque qui a tu\u00e9 les employ\u00e9s de l’Agence am\u00e9ricaine pour le d\u00e9veloppement international (USAID) John Granville et Abdelrahman Abbas Rahama \u00e0 Khartoum le 1er janvier 2008. Makawi avait des liens avec un groupe soudanais appel\u00e9 Al-Qa\u00efda au pays des deux Niles, qui avait complot\u00e9 pour attaquer des int\u00e9r\u00eats am\u00e9ricains, occidentaux et soudanais.<\/p>\n
Un tribunal soudanais a jug\u00e9, d\u00e9clar\u00e9 coupable et condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 mort Makawi en 2009 pour son implication dans les meurtres. Toutefois, Makawi s’est \u00e9vad\u00e9 de prison le 10 juin 2010, avant que sa peine ne soit ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e. Il est toujours en fuite et on pense qu’il se trouve en Somalie.<\/p>\n
Le 8 janvier 2013, le D\u00e9partement d’\u00c9tat des \u00c9tats-Unis a d\u00e9sign\u00e9 Makawi comme un Terroriste Mondial Sp\u00e9cialement D\u00e9sign\u00e9 (Specially Designated Global Terrorist) conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 l’Ordre Ex\u00e9cutif 13224, tel qu’amend\u00e9.
