Jemaah Islamiya (JI) est un groupe terroriste bas\u00e9 en Asie du Sud-Est qui cherche \u00e0 \u00e9tablir un califat dans la r\u00e9gion. La JI est responsable d’importantes attaques terroristes dans la r\u00e9gion, dont l’attentat \u00e0 la bombe d’octobre 2002 contre une bo\u00eete de nuit de Bali qui a fait plus de 200 morts, l’attentat \u00e0 la bombe d’ao\u00fbt 2003 contre l’h\u00f4tel Marriott \u00e0 Jakarta qui a fait 12 morts, et l’attentat suicide d’octobre 2005 \u00e0 Bali qui a fait 26 morts.<\/p>\n\n
Le 23 octobre 2002, le D\u00e9partement d’\u00c9tat des \u00c9tats-Unis a d\u00e9sign\u00e9 la JI comme Organisation Terroriste \u00c9trang\u00e8re en vertu de la Section 219 de la Loi sur l’Immigration et la Nationalit\u00e9, telle qu’ amend\u00e9e, et comme Terroriste Mondial Sp\u00e9cialement D\u00e9sign\u00e9 en vertu de l’Ordre Ex\u00e9cutif 13224, tel qu’amend\u00e9. En cons\u00e9quence, tous les biens de la JI et les int\u00e9r\u00eats sur ses biens soumis \u00e0 la juridiction des \u00c9tats-Unis sont bloqu\u00e9s, et il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement interdit aux personnes am\u00e9ricaines d’effectuer des transactions avec la JI.
