Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of any person who, while acting at the direction or under the control of a foreign government, participates in malicious cyber activities against U.S. critical infrastructure in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).

Reza Kazemifar is wanted by U.S. authorities for his alleged involvement in a coordinated, multi-year campaign that conducted cyber intrusions into more than 12 U.S. companies, as well as the U.S. Departments of State and the Treasury. Reza Kazemifar participated in a spear phishing campaigns against the U.S. Department of the Treasury and a U.S. hospitality company throughout 2018.

From about 2014 through at least in or about 2020, Reza Kazemifar, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran, worked for the Iranian Organization for Electronic Warfare and Cyber Defense (EWCD), which is a component of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity. From at least 2014 through at least 2018, Reza Kazemifar also worked for Iran-based Mahak Rayan Afraz, a front company operating on behalf of the IRGC.
