Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the financial disruption of ISIS-Somalia for its financing of ISIS.

ISIS-Somalia is one of ISIS’s most significant affiliates in Africa, serving as a primary revenue generator and funding hub for ISIS’s global networks and branches.

ISIS-Somalia generates and disburses funds through numerous activities, such as:

  • taxation and extortion of local populations, businesses, and agriculture
  • money laundering
  • kidnapping-for-ransom
  • weapons trade
  • illicit maritime activities such as piracy and illegal fishing
  • recruitment, immigration, and travel facilitation
  • donations and online fundraising
  • cash, mobile money, and cryptocurrency transfers
